Icovent - pressure equalization vent

• Material: Black Plastic.
• The base is glass fiber reinforced polyamide (GFPA).
• The vent is made of weather-resistant polypropylene (PP).
• The skirt is pre-coated with bitumen to ensure better adhesion.

The ventsare placed centrally over min. Ø50 mm cut-outs in the substrate. The base is installed on the bottom layer of the roofing felt in cold bitumen and covered with 2 layers Bitumen, which are stepped on the skirt with hot bitumen, cold adhesive or welding. The vents are pressed down over the spout of the base and fastened with a pre-assembled screw. One vent is used per approx. 400 m² of roof, but min. one per closed roof surface.

Please note that the Danish BYG-ERFA experience sheet (27) 130605 advises against using the outlets for ventilation of the structure, Icovent is for pressure equalization only.
